So we’ve been very happy with the accolades and awards that have come our way over the past several years. From our design to our engineering, from vehicle efficiency to consumer satisfaction, what we have been doing has struck a chord with the judges and delighted our customers.
Hyundai New Zealand No. 1 for Customer Satisfaction
Hyundai New Zealand has been awarded the 2020 Canstar Blue Award for Most Satisfied Customers in the New Cars category.
Canstar Blue rates customer satisfaction across a wide range of products and services, with the core purpose of helping consumers make better purchase decisions. The ratings are based on professional market research to determine the perceptions of consumers. The research is Canstar commissioned and more than 900 Kiwis that had purchased a new car in the last three years were surveyed.

Hyundai i30 N awarded Drive Life's 2019 Driver's Car of the Year
The i30 N is a high-performance vehicle engineered purely for our customers and their driving enjoyment. We're extremely pleased that this "grin-inducing" car has been recognised by Drive Life as the Driver's Car of the Year for 2019. "The driver has to be grinning about the drive, without even seeing the car; that’s the sign of a true driver’s car."
Hyundai Santa Fe Elite wins 2019 Family Car of the Year
In an award category that focuses on practicality and safety, the Hyundai Santa Fe managed to stand out from the rest of the competition, being awarded Drive Life's Family Car of the Year for 2019. This award further solidifies the love, affection and loyal following the Santa Fe has in New Zealand.

The i30 N is Hyundai’s first true high-performance car, developed to debut the N division and redefine the way in which the world views our vehicles. Kona Electric awarded Stuff Top Plug-In Car 2018
Electric vehicles are undoubtedly the way of the future and Hyundai NZ is leading the charge. After the New Zealand launch of Kona in 2017, we added an all-electric, zero-emission model to our SUV range. Thought to be something of a milestone in the EV market the all-new Kona Electric was the first compact e-SUV to launch in New Zealand. Hyundai Motor receives two awards for most innovative brand 2019
Hyundai Motor Company was awarded two major awards at the 2019 Automotive INNOVATIONS Awards by the Center of Automotive Management (CAM) and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). The award for ‘Most Innovative Volume Brand’ and ‘Most Innovative Volume Brand - Alternative Drives’.
Kona Electric sweeps the automotive category at 2019 Good Design® Awards
The Kona Electric earned top honours at the 2019 Good Design Awards, securing the overall award in the Automotive and Transport product category. The judges were won over by Kona Electric’s ability to package its long-range EV powertrain with advanced standard safety and convenience technologies.

Hyundai’s Kona, Santa Fe, and Le Fil Rouge Concept Car have earned 2018 GOOD DESIGN® Awards from the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture & Design and the European Centre for Architecture Art Design & Urban studies. We are honoured that Hyundai has been recognised for the eighth consecutive year by one of the world's most preeminent programs for design excellence worldwide.

The 'Brand of the Year' award was given to the brand that has come up with an innovative and creative design on a particularly high level, and the Red Dot Awards praised Hyundai's innovative design solutions, quality of design and brand management expertise.
Hyundai NZ, best distributor in Asia Pacific
Hyundai Motor Company regularly award their top-performing distributors around the word and in 2011 Hyundai Motors New Zealand was named number one in Asia pacific, ahead of stiff competition from the larger markets of China, Japan, Vietnam and Laos. It’s the first time we’ve won this award outright, having shared the glory with the Philippines in 2006.
